First Nonprofit shares your concern for our families, staffs, and the communities that we serve about COVID-19 outbreak. Our best wishes and concern go to those affected by the dreadful illness and our thanks go to those on the frontline of trying to stem its spread.
We are working closely with our claim administration partners, state unemployment agency staffs, and the leaders at Unemployment and Workers’ Compensation (UWC) Foundation to both understand the parameters of how unemployment eligibility may be defined and how claims may be managed. Yesterday the U.S. Department of Labor released information to the states regarding unemployment related to COVID-19 but most states have yet to release specific processes. We are in ongoing communication with our claim administration partners as they internalize and incorporate any indicated changes they may need to make relative to COVID-19.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we, along with our claim administration partners and friends at the state unemployment agencies, work through and adapt to this critical situation. Be assured that First Nonprofit is committed to continuing to serve you without disruption and we are available to address any questions or concerns you may have. We will continue to share more information as it becomes available.

Because INCS advocates for the operating conditions that allow charter public schools to provide high quality public education, partnering with First Nonprofit was an easy decision. First Nonprofit’s unemployment programs provide our member schools two operating elements crucial to their ability to provide high quality public education: savings and budget certainty. Capable, committed teachers are the key to student success. By participating in the unemployment insurance savings plan, charter public schools gain peace of mind and are able to invest more money in their teachers.
Throughout our membership in the Unemployment Savings Program, First Nonprofit understood our demands, community dynamics, and the importance of seamless services; that allowed us to serve our constituents better.
