Giving Tuesday Now- Global Action for Giving and Unity in Response to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is a time of uncertainty. Many nonprofits have been forced to cancel or postpone fundraisers due to the stay-at-home orders and gathering restrictions implemented across the country. As a result, they are left wondering how to make up the loss of funding and mitigate the financial impact.

As an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19, Giving Tuesday Now, a global day of giving, generosity and unity, will be taking place on May 5th, 2020. Organized by the same people who created #GivingTuesday, Giving Tuesday Now focuses on boosting fundraising and support for the nonprofit community in response to COVID-19.

In 2019,organizations raised more than $2 billion during #GivingTuesday. Now, more than ever, Giving Tuesday Now will give a critical boost to participating organizations.

Below are some ideas and resources for organizations participating in Giving Tuesday Now.

  1. Online Fundraising

  2. Peer-to-peer fundraising

  3. Virtual fundraising event

  4. Online auction
